Finished Projects - Geico and Mapron

Awe the Mapron (Man Apron).... This one was a labor of love. It was made using Air Force, Army, and Marine themed fabrics. I call it 'United We Cook'

Even added some loops to each side for tools and utensils!
Makes a great gift for the hard to shop for man in your life. Use for working in the garage, grilling on the barbecue, and dress up your manly helper at any craft show.

Now on to a project I am elated to showcase. It turned out better than I ever expected. My son's idea (as read here) was to make a car blanket seeing as how Geico is an insurance company. My oldest daughter helped pick out all the fabric and my job was to cut, piece, and sew. I started on it last night and didn't expect to be finished until today or even this evening.

Everything just fell into place perfectly. The fabric was cooperative, sewing machine didn't give me heart ache, and the bobbin was wound to the perfect tension. I think it took me about an 1-2 hours from start to finish. A record for me for sure.

I am so excited ! I hope you guys love it as much as I do. I can't wait until it finds a new home. I know whom ever purchases this quilt will cherish it for a long time.
Just listed in my shop for $40
