As I sit in my truck in the parking lot of my husband's work, I realize that it is going to be next to impossible to get out on to the road. It is a Friday evening and everyone is gearing to head home for the weekend. The road ahead of me is packed with cars and even more people are walking to their vehicles to begin the same venture as myself. Then I realize that not only WILL I get out but there is a fun little pattern happening before my eyes. Each car on the road is letting out one of the cars from the parking lot.... Then that car from the parking lot is pausing so a car from the opposite lot can exit as well. Typically this is what you see on a military base and it was nice to see that even though the work week was finished and it was time to head home to family and friends.... that the military family can still pay it forward without blinking an eye!

Everything just fell into place perfectly. The fabric was cooperative, sewing machine didn't give me heart ache, and the bobbin was wound to the perfect tension. I think it took me about an 1-2 hours from start to finish. A record for me for sure.
I am so excited ! I hope you guys love it as much as I do. I can't wait until it finds a new home. I know whom ever purchases this quilt will cherish it for a long time.

Finding fun in new ideas.
During the Air show this past April I got a bag filled with promo related items from various businesses. One of the things I acquired was this yellow, black, and green bandanna from Geico. I actually came across it again the other day when I was cleaning out my 'Collect-All' closet. I opened the plastic and an idea popped into my head.
I had to use this to make something super fun for my etsy shop!! That was the easy part.... But WHAT was I going to make? I showed hubby my find and he was at the same loss as I. So I asked the kids. They were the brains behind the wonderful idea.....
Off we headed to Joann's to gather the fabrics we needed. Here is a glimps into the future.... So what do think we will be making? Please post a comment and let me know.
